Each year, Good Samaritan Community Services gives a bag filled with the supplies needed to make a Christmas feast to our families in need. Join us, as we make this Christmas special for more than 100 Good Sam-RGV families!
Please place the following items in a reusable grocery bag:
__ 2 cans green beans
__ 2 cans corn
__ 1 can sweet potatoes
__ 1 box stuffing
__ 1 can chicken broth
__ 1 box mashed potatoes
__ 1 jar/package gravy
__ 1 can cranberry sauce
__ 1 package Christmas napkins
__ 1 package Christmas plates
__ 1 item that will make a family’s Christmas special
(Candy canes, candy, Christmas books etc… please keep item under $10)
Optional: an HEB gift card which can be used to purchase a ham or turkey. (Please do NOT include personal checks in the bags, please hand these in separately.)
Drop bags off between 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. starting Monday, December 16th through Wednesday, December 18th, at 210 W. Caffery Pharr, TX 78577.

In the summer of 2009, our call to serve those in need led us to open the Good Samaritan Community Services Rio Grande Valley center in Pharr, Texas. Activities and programs at the center are dedicated to addressing the critical needs of youth and are focused on four pillars: Educational Achievement, Reducing Risky Behavior, Self-Sufficiency and Community Engagement.
